How We're Regulated (AYUSH Compliance)

Last updated: [DATE]

We think you deserve to know exactly what regulatory category your Jiva Ritu syrup falls under, and why our labels say what they say.

What "Ayurvedic Proprietary Medicine" Means

All five Jiva Ritu syrups are classified as Ayurvedic Proprietary Medicines under Rule 161 of the Drugs and Cosmetics Act — a distinct regulatory category from food supplements or nutraceuticals. This means:

  • Our formulations are set on classical Ayurvedic logic, not assembled like a food supplement
  • Each product carries a full ingredient declaration with botanical names and exact quantities per 10ml dose
  • Manufacturing happens under an AYUSH licence held by our manufacturing partner, Nutriley Healthcare Pvt Ltd
  • We do not use FSSAI branding or Nutrition Facts panels — that labelling framework is for food products, not Ayurvedic medicine

Why Our Claims Say "Supports," Not "Cures"

Ayurvedic medicine regulation in India is intentionally conservative about language. We describe our products as supporting or assisting specific conditions — never as curing, treating, or replacing prescribed medical care. This isn't hedging; it's the accurate and legally required way to describe what an Ayurvedic Proprietary Medicine does.

Manufacturing Transparency

Jiva Ritu products are manufactured by:
Nutriley Healthcare Pvt Ltd, Plot No. 16, Moja Patan, Near Arya Nagar, Hisar, Haryana, India – 125001

Safety First

Every Jiva Ritu product carries specific caution information relevant to that formulation's key herbs — printed in full on the label and on the product page, not buried in fine print. If you're on any medication or have a pre-existing condition, talk to your doctor before starting any Jiva Ritu syrup.
